"Trouble in the Wind's multi-faceted instrumentation and their
expansive lyric/yarns allow them to paint movie-like pictures on stage,
full of drama and imagery. The band celebrates the release of their
first studio album, All My Hopes on a Sailing Boat Sunday, Sept. 20 at
the Royal Dive Dive in Oceanside.
The songs on All My Hopes on a Sailing Boat rise up to ecstasy and
plummet back down to despair. The production qualities on Sailing
Boat says volumes about how the band strives to inject soul back in
the recording process while rejecting the electronic/digital trends that
are cannibalizing the music business. Each track on on the CD was
recorded live at producer by Kenny Langen's Carlsbad studio. “We
want to separate ourselves from the industry,” says Gira. “Everybody
says we play music older than we are. We are definitely swimming
against the tide.”
Everyone attending the CD release party gets a copy of All My Hopes
on a Sailing Boat. Rob Deez opens the 8 pm show and is followed by
